We went to the Sai Temple and helped make food for people in need. As a group, we made around 500 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches along with other snacks and items. Everyone had a job to do, and we worked together to get everything done. After that, we packed the food and donated it to local shelters. It was a busy but rewarding day helping out in the community.

At the senior living center, we brought last year’s robot and presented it to the residents there. Many of them were curious and excited to see how the robot worked since they had never seen one up close before. We let them try controlling it, answered their questions, and explained what FIRST Robotics is — how teams like ours design, build, and program robots to complete different challenges. We went around local neighborhoods selling homemade chocolate chip cookies and Oreo/strawberry cupcakes to help raise funds for our robotics team. After visiting 4 neighborhoods, we raised well over 500$ thanks to the support of our community members who were open to helping support our FTC team.
